This is probably one of the last major endurance races at Edmonton International Speedway. The Moly Slip Endurance Series was probably Canada's last, " truly", National Race series. It ran from coast to coast ,and featured some of Canada's best drivers of the era. The cars were a mixture of almost brand new ( just off the show room floor - plus a few modifications and few bumps and bruises from other races in the season), to older GT/Production based cars and the odd purpose built race cars. They had good car counts and it was a lot fun and drew in a lot of spectators.
This picture shows a few of them. The Porsche in the front was not a 944, but a highly modified new 924 driven by Heimrath. Jones is in the Mustang, instead of his incredibly fast VW Scirocco.
Cheers
Gary
