Hello all.

I am hoping to run in the Super Touring 3 (ST3) group next year.

The NASA ST rules for 2016 were posted on Dec 1 and there have beens some major changes.
I have not read the complete rule set but some highlights included a Wt/Hp ratio increase from 9:1 to 10:1 for ST3 as well as changes in the way HP is determined from the dynograph for ST3 - average HP over a specific RPM range versus Max HP.  There have also been some changes in the modification factors.

These rule changes from NASA for 2016 would have significant impact on those competing in ST3 as well as ST in general.

As of now the draft WCMA tech regs, car classification forms, well as dyno forms for 2016 still reflect the NASA 2015 ST ruleset.  I am wondering if there will be a Finalized 2016 Tech Regs from WCMA clarifying changes from NASA for 2016 any time soon.

Thanks!

Thanks for the question Joseph,
The WCMA will be updating the all forms all rules to align with the 2016 NASA rules, which is why they have been posted as drafts.

Now that NASA's has finalized their 2016 rules, we will finalize rules and forms, the plan is for January 1st publication.
