Just wondering what kind of ballast do people put into their race cars in order to meet the minimum weights?  And where do you purchase the ballast?  I would think something heavy but compact in size (such as lead) would be ideal.

One of the easiest ways is to weld a plate with to the floor with a threaded rod (larger diameter) to it, then buy weight lifting weights of the appropriate amount needed and use a large washer with a nylock self locing nut or equivalent to secure the whole unit down. Some people even melt down wheel weights and use those as plates as well....many ways to do it...

Can always check www.improvedtouring.com to see what other IT competitors do...
