Title: Any chance of a Race City 4-6 hour "send-off" enduro this year?
Post by: vintagebmw on February 03, 2009, 12:14:52 PM
I know there has been some thoughts in the past and the issues surrounding hot pits etc but I think it would be a neat way to close the book on the track?

Any thoughts?

Hey,

Personally, I'd love it. BUT, my guess is no. We have four weekends scheduled, and each weekend includes not only closed wheel, but open wheel and vintage, as well as lapping. I don't see how we could stick in a big endurance race like that, and still get in our WCMA points races as well.

The hot pits are just that, a PIT, if you remember the giant hole in the middle by the flag stand. Makes the whole thing relatively unsafe.

I like the idea, and if anyone wants to try and organize a separate date, even at a different venue... let's see !

I think a few things.

It would have to be a separate day.
Hot pits could be set up in the paddock with along the track exit and entrance.
Would be a lot of fun!
