Just thinking of ideas to make the last one ever? something special. One idea, I was wondering if at the last session for each group on sunday after the checker is out we could get the corner workers to come trackside so the racers can thank them and shake their hand from the race car. i know this may eat up scheduled time but hey it is the last race ever ( maybe?).
Other Idea. if there is time is it possible to stop on the track for photos with car & crew(family) after all races are done.
Another Idea. some crew(family) have never walked on the track. is there some time after for that.
Any other Ideas.

Two items that we will be doing for the last race is both Saturday and Sunday lunch time by the BBQ pit we are going to have a group photo of workers and drivers in the suits with the helmets.
The vintage group is organizing ride-a-longs for the workers at 1:00 both days.
Your ideas are great - now to look at the schedule and figure out times.

I like some of Gary's ideas, how about looking at combining them into one. Think about this scenario and see if it might work.
The last race of the day is the Open Wheel guys. While they are racing the Vintage cars assemble on the front of the pregrid followed by all the Closed wheel cars. After the Open Wheel race, the Open wheel cars instead of going into the pits come around and lineup and park 3 wide on the front straight in front of the stands. The pregrid gates open and the vintage and closed wheel cars lineup 3 wide on the front straight behind the open wheelers. The drivers and their familes and crew stand by their cars and all the officals and marshalls line up along the side. We have photographer on a ladder take a few very neat photo's! After all the drivers, family, crew, officials and marshalls can take a track walk together talking about all the good times and bad! lol
Sounds like something we could do as well. I will check with Race City to make sure they haven't rented the track out on Saturday night and ask permission to stay on the track a little after 4 pm.
