Attention: All Track Workers
The last race of the season and possibly forever at Race City is being held on September 12-13.
Check In - We need all track marshals at the track both days by 8:00 am at the latest for the race worker meeting. This meeting will be held at pre-grid starting at 8:15 am and we need be on the track ready to go by 9:00 am. We hope to see everyone there.
Ben Cline, the Chief Course Marshal would like to get an idea of how many folks will be coming out to marshal for the last event ? if you plan on attending, please let him know ? his email is va6ben@rac.ca ? only marshals need to contact Ben.
Steak BBQ - We are planning to have our annual steak dinner (the final supper) on Saturday night after the podium presentations. In order to ensure that we have a steak with your name on it, I need everyone to let me know if they will be attending or not.
Please let me know by return email at sue@somedaysoon.ca if you will be attending the BBQ by no later than Wednesday, September 2nd.
Group Photo ? We are also planning on doing a group photo of workers in their whites and drivers in their suits with helmets on both Saturday and Sunday at the BBQ Pit at during the lunch break. Please plan on attending at least one of these days if not both.
Ride-A-Longs ? The vintage group is organizing ride-a-longs for the workers on the Saturday and Sunday as a thank you for everything you folks do for them. All drivers whether vintage, open wheel or closed wheel will be participating in this. The ride-a-longs will start about 1:00. Debbie Luini-Carroll is organizing this and would like to get an idea of how many of you are interested in participating or helping out. Give her an email at wrcarroll@nucleus.com to let her know if you are interested.
