On behalf of Greg Coffin and NWMS down south in Spokane, they wanted to invite and let everyone know that they have the Spokane track for a triple race weekend and prior to the race weekend a full test day available for both Open and Closed wheel race cars on July 12th, with the triple race weekend following from July 13 to the 15th. They then have the track booked for a double race weekend on September 8-9. Greg suggested that being the 2 weekends combine for five races, the WCMA racers may want to make a 5 race series for all of the race track orphans here in Western Canada, namely, Alberta and Sask. Racers will also be scored for ICSCC / NWMS points.
They put on a great event, the track is wicked fun to drive. The drive to Spokane goes by really quick. Track food last year was very good and on the triple they bring in a Fire truck one night, that has been converted into a 5 pizza oven, mobile pizza parlour and they make "tossed in the air pizza" its very good, its free and for all racers and crew and they also have free beer and assorted soft drinks for those who like to participate!
So they would really like it if racers from here, went south to race the track, meet some new people and have a great weekend! so please do your best to make it down. The test day is a very very good way to get your car dialled in and you can expect 5 - 6, 30 minute sessions. We went last year and it was all around a great 4 days of racing.
So please do try and support our racer friends south, make a series out of it, we need to support racing where its still allowed and this is not a tough tow there or back.
