The 2014 race regulations are up at http://www.wcma.ca/new/racing/racing-forms/ (http://www.wcma.ca/new/racing/racing-forms/). The vintage regulations are still being worked on, and the ITCS and Classification sheet will be posted shortly.
Thanks for your patience,
Wayne.
Wayne, Thank you!
We all appreciate the tremendous number of volunteer hours you & others put into this task every year. It is a huge sacrifice of time from your family activities, working on your own race car and enjoying other sports & hobbies. You're often reviewing and completing these Regulations well into the night or during Saturday and Sundays. This year was complicated with so many other groups and issues requiring copious amounts of WCMA volunteer's time.
Once again, thank you
thanks! a couple of quick potential fixes:
pg 32: ST-O CF updated in the chart but not in Example 2.
pg 18/33: New paragraph refers to 'allowed ballast' but could not find 'allowed ballast' defined in the document (i.e., 'ballast not to exceed 250lbs' as per NASA).
thanks again.
Thanks Wayne...!
Looking at the Technical Regulations I noticed that Spec Miata is not included in the WCMA Championship classes. I am assuming this is a typo or simple oversight and not an intential snub of the Spec Miata racers.
Just a heads up on the examples in the ST section. They still don't compute. In example 1, the non-stock camshaft correction bumps the displacement to STO and then it should use the 0.83 factor instead of 1. In example 2, the correction factor is 0.88 when it should be the updated 0.83.
Spec Miata is a WCMA championship class - it will be fixed.
Yes, Spec Miata is definately a championship class.
Sorry for the error,
Wayne
Hi Justin & Radium King, I will fix the sections for the ST shortly, thanks for bringing it to my attention
Wayne
For the ITJ section- ChumpCar has moved to a 180treadwear standard rather than 190- it would be nice to be able to run the same tires in WCMA on our car (which I'm sure was the intent anyhow).
