 Hello all,

after 2 years in REBUILD, ROBERTSHAWRACING will offer 2 Stohr F1000 open wheel race cars for rent in the 2016 race season. The 2015 season was for us, a long test session to confirm what the cars needed (if anything) and I am happy to report both race cars performed 16.5 hours of on track racing and testing with no mechanical failures. The cars and the work performed in the 2 previous years has proved to be very solid. These cars are fast and reliable.

ROBERTSHAWRACING offers a driver a true "Arrive and Drive" experience. A crew of no less than 4, delivers and maintains the race cars for your track day or race weekend. We look after every detail and all you do as a driver is focus on the task at hand (driving), we look after all the rest. We have state of the art chassis set up platforms and all required tools to get the job done. A well stocked parts bin with NEW replacements parts if needed. Drivers also receive driver coaching, data and on car (front and rear) video review. Both cars are radio equipped. Each car has No Lift shift up and auto blip downshift. Custom bead seats are also available at additional expense.

The cost for a race weekend or up to 135 minutes of track time is $6000. The cost for a track junkie day if running in RED and Time Attack is $7000 (160 minutes of track time),it includes a race ready race car, new tires, all race day fuel, oil, lubricants. Driver must pay their own entry fee or track day fee in addition to rental cost. Travel mileage is at $1.20 per KM each way and if a second car is rented, this cost drops to $.60 per KM. Hotel and food is charged in addition to the $6000 / $7000 race weekend. Damage (if any) is charged, parts at cost and labor at $100 per hour to repair the car and is at the expense of the renter.

Also included at no additional charge is driving training / coaching at The Race Room in one of 2 open wheel full motion racing simulators. These simulators are exact replicas of the Stohr chassis that is used in our real world racing rental program. Data review is also available in our simulators and we use MOTEC, ATLAS (McLaren F1 data systems) and iSpeed. Here we will see the areas of your driving that are strong and the areas that require more work. The simulators provide a ton of great information that afford you the benefit of learning a new track at zero additional cost other than time, learning about how you actually drive the race car without the expense of track offs, damage or the costs associated with real world on track practice. I know many of you think simulators are nothing more than a video game but you could not be farther off the mark! Some, not many but some of you have come into the race room and I think all of them left The Race Room better drivers and at the very least, all left with a better understanding of what their inputs actually do when driving a race car. Ask around, those that have been to The Race Room will confirm.

In addition to offering Arrive and Drive local racing (Castrol), we are also seeking "arrive and drive" drivers who would be interested in participating at the SCCA Run offs for 2016 with the penultimate race, THE RUN OFFS being held at Mid Ohio. This requires at least 3 races (races = race weekends) in an SCCA platform with one race weekend being a double header south of the Canadian border.
