Japanese R tires shortage

Hi Everyone,

If you are looking for Japanese R-compound tires (Toyo RA-1, R888, Nitto NT-01, Dunlop Star Spec, etc.), it is time to order them now.
I encourage you to talk to your tires shop or us at Spec R.

We have been in touch with a few warehouses and found out that:

As a result of the Japanese earthquake, electric supply has been limited which is delaying production of all tires including R-compound tires. Therefore, they expect that some tires will have supply shortage. Moreover, material prices have gone up too, and some of the R-compound tire prices have gone up 10% already. If you are looking for R tires for this summer, please send me an e-mail at specr.kh@gmail.com to pre-order.

I believe Hoosiers and Hankook Track tires are a good alternatives too, if the price is right.
