2018 WCMA Championship

Just curious, will there be/is there a 2018 WCMA SOLO Championship this year?

I expect there will be. The number of events will depend on how may region clubs want to hold events. Reijo Silvennoinen is the new Region Solo Director this year, so I expect he is working on it. Standby...

Yep!  We have some dates/clubs already and am waiting to confirm some dates/clubs.  Soon.

Update:   My apologies for being late on this.  This spring has been extraordinarily busy with construction start-ups and old projects all coming live at the same time.

Basically, we will be following a similar format and schedule as previous years.  There is no time for any changes at this point and no point in re-inventing the wheel!   \

Events:
1.  2-day event - June 23/24 by the SASC at the great YYC/Budget lot on the north side of the YYC airport (Calgary). 
2.  July 29 - Red Deer Sports Car club- Westerner.
3.  Aug. long weekend - Regina.
4.  Winnipeg - I believe 2nd weekend in September.

In the meanwhile I'll try and get on top of my work and see if I can spend some time on this series.

I'm thinking maybe we should revamp or update the series for next year ... perhaps make it more relevant in some way shape or form.

What would you think about a single WCMA championship hosted in different places each year?  Add some spice to it ... perhaps more prize money, tow fund, put more effort into  it in general?  Other ideas?
