To ease of transition from PTC-PTE to ST4-ST6; the WCMA will accept all 2017-2018 PTC, PTD, & PTE classification forms as forms for ST4, ST5 and ST6 for the 2018 and 2019 season as follows:

•   PTC classification forms will be accepted as a form for ST4 if the vehicle is unchanged since the form was originally completed.

•   PTD classification forms will be accepted as a form for ST5 if the vehicle is unchanged since the form was originally completed.

•   PTE classification forms will be accepted as a form for ST6 if the vehicle is unchanged since the form was originally completed.

•   Cars running ST4-6 on a PT classification forms are able to/required to run tire in accordance with ST4 or 5

Notes:
•   Vehicles that have been modified since the last PT classification form was completed must submit a 2019 ST classification form.

•   Many PTC competitors could be eligible for ST5 with minor modifications, such as the addition of ballast. PTC competitors wishing to compete is ST5 must complete a ST classification form.

•   Many PTD competitors could be eligible for ST6 with minor modifications, such as the addition of ballast. PTC competitors wishing to compete is ST5 must complete a ST classification form.

Background:
•   NASA has reduced classes by combining ST4, PTC, PTD, and PTD into ST4, ST5 and ST6

Review:
•   In 2017 all ST4, PTC and PTD competitors with completed forms were reviewed and where the form had enough info that competitor was reclassed to ST4 or ST5
•   For PTC competitor without enough info (IE no Dyno sheet) best estimated dyno curves from a comparable vehicle

Findings:
•   ALL 2017 ST4 and PTC competitors would be eligible to compete in ST4 with their vehicle as it competed in 2017
•   Some (but not all) PTC competitors should be eligible to compete in ST5 with the addition of 25-220lb ballast.
•   ALL 2017-2018 PTD competitors should be eligible to compete in ST5 in 2019. NASA has specifically designed ST5 to include all PTD competitors
•   Some (but not all) PTD competitors should be eligible to compete in ST6
•   ALL 2018 PTE competitors should be eligible to compete in ST6 in 2019. NASA has specifically designed ST6 to include all PTE competitors
