Good Day
Will be building car 2012 Mustang GT 5.0L Automatic Trans. Don't quite know where this car might be classed. Reading rules,, " Automatic Transmission May approve on case by case basis " ? Would someone be able to elaborate if Auto Trans are acceptable before I get too far into this and what might justify the case by case decision? Transmission Diaper, Steel Protected Cooler Lines, Etc, Etc or any other things.  Also would anyone have pictures of how they mounted their EXTERIOR kill switch and EXTERIOR Push or Pull cable for Fire Suppression System. Thanks in advance of at least 1000 questions to follow. Marshall

You'd be best-served by contacting Scrutineering at WCMA directly via e-mail (Ryan Smith).

All contacts are found at www.wcma.ca/new/contacts/

There is an adjustment factor in the class calculations for automatic transmissions, so they are certainly allowed. You can download the class calculator from the WCMA website under 2020 Race Regulations, Classing Calculator and Form (excel spreadsheet). Driveshaft loop and scattershield are recommended.

Any reason for the automatic transmission, other than maybe because thats what is in the car now? Very rare choice.
