So there's a start lets see what happens and continue discussion

I wanted to vote for more than one thing!

I like the casc classes . i think we can add a modification list to it.
like this;
keep classes as listed,
IT1=2751cc and up
IT2=1751 cc to 2750cc.
IT3=up to 1750cc

keep the existing CASC permitted modification and add these,
suggest limit of one modification. ie engine swap= one mod.
wcma permitted modifications;( one only)
- engine swap , reclassify as per displacement
-engine  with vvt or vtec, move up a class, original equip or not.
- forced induction, fit in IT1  only.
- wankle , non turbo. IT2 only
-internal mods( regular engine) camshaft(s) and cam gears only.  no other internal mods.  move up a class
-final drive, whatever fits in stock  housing.

other restrictions;
- no itb conversions. allowed if stock on that engine.
- stand alone ecu? ( not sure about this one) I think not allowed.
   possible allow piggyback ecu?
- no close ratio gearboxes( aftermarket)
weight of cars.   as per published weights
  cars with engine mods add 150 lbs

If a car stiil does not fit it can be put into GTS.
comments? weight not enough,too much?
I like to limit to one mod as IT class it still suposed to be a  streetable type class.

I dont know why i have given this so much thought I am not even in this class!

There is no option to vote for more than 1 of the items, I am on the fence as to two of the options so I am not sure if it will be an accurate poll...

Super70Dave

Which two are you on the fence for??? lets see if we can make them into one.
Any more Poll ideas i'll add em. The poll itself will become inaccurate but it may give us more structered discussion.

ECU mods are currently allowed....As long as they fit into the factory box.  My thoughts are if the engine swapped in is stock, yes with a displacement reclassify, but what happens if someone finds that engine car combination where you take large engine from larger car and stuff into smaller car.  The 100 or 150 lbs over published weight isn't too fair to the rest of the competitors.

Sorry I am not offering anything helpful.  I am seeing allot of cars that are going to be a non conforming car to other classes.  I'm on the fence on this one....

I understand your concern with engine swaps Allen.
I think the general intention is that the engine swaps are not too dramatic, these are still street cars( in theory).
The trend has been , honda guys changing from non vtec to vtec engines. bmw guys going from 2.3l to 2.5l.
I dont think the intention of the IT class is allowing big V8 in corollas  for example. actually there was a edmonton fellow building that, I wonder where we will put him?  The weight will have to be adjusted . Maybe put a ban on change of number of cylinders. You know Allen ,the things where pistons go up and down in.
the intent is that these engines going in the cars are still stock, just better stock. this is to keep racing reliable and affordable but a little bit more fun.
however a "stock" engine from a formula atlantic fitted in a IT2 corolla is beyond to scope of the intent of the class.
LOL.

Hey Dave, is there an option to select more than one item in the poll?

Super70Dave

NOPE no multi selecting. if you wanna combine let me know.
