Workers’ Travel Fund

The Barrie Main Memorial Motorsport Workers’ Travel Fund

Philosophy:  This fund was developed to encourage and assist intra-provincial travel of race officials/workers to work at WCMA sanctioned race events. Eligible recipients are members in good standing with a club affiliated to the Western Canada Motorsport Association (WCMA).  The intent of this fund is to maintain similarity with the Competitors Tow Fund Levy.

Criteria

  • A race official/worker must work at least one race* event in two (2) different provinces to qualify, (*means dry track or ice race event)
  • Eligible recipients must work the 2 full days of each event attended
  • Minimum payout is $2000 per year for the total fund
  • Maximum payout is $3500 per year for the total fund
  • Payouts based on receipt of the completed application form, in the event of excessive applications, payouts will be based on a first received basis.
  • An application must be submitted to the WCMA Administrator.

Funding – Funding is provided by a $5.00 per competitor fee from each WCMA sanctioned road race event paid to WCMA by each club.
