Awards Dinner Information

Time ? Cocktails 6:00 pm, Dinner 7:00 pm
Where ? Radisson Hotel Edmonton South, 4440 Gateway Blvd, Edmonton, Alberta
Cost ? $40.00 per person

Individuals may make their own reservations directly with the  Reservations Department: by telephone (780) 437-6010; toll free anywhere in North America (888) 837-7223; or fax to (780) 431-5804. Individuals must identify themselves as being with Western Canada Motorsports Association group block to receive the established room rates.

Dinner tickets will be available from Sue Wilson.  E-mail dinner ticket requests to sue@somedaysoon.ca.  Tickets will be paid for at the door.  Deadline for dinner ticket orders is Monday, October 12, 2009.  Please note that an email confirmation of your dinner ticket order will be done.  If you don?t receive a confirmation, then we don?t know you are coming.

If you have any special menu requirements (vegetarian etc.) please let me know.

Let?s get out there and cheer for our 2009 Solosport and Race Champions ? they deserve it!

Will there be any easily accessible / comprehensive info on how to get started in racing?

I'm looking for explanation of classes, where to get advice on prepping / taking a road car from street to race track, options for gaining a license and training, etc.

Yes - many people there will be able to give you what you are looking for.

Bruce said "I don't believe an agenda has been published.  Typically each special interest group submit something but because of the last minute departure of our solo director nothing was done.  I was planning on opening the floor to suggestions in the morning. I think Karts and next years schedule will be topics. A new Solo Director will probably be an issue also."

 This being my first AGM meeting I had a great time. A big thank-you to Sue and everyone for a great event. Goes to show that motorsports people are one great family.
