I'm very interested in coming out to a few solo days in my street prepared 90 camaro but am curious as to the fact that a number of the modifications i've done take me out of any real class, am i still allowed to come out with this car?

Its a 1990 iroc and the mods that basically would make it a GT car include:
-aftermarket 5 speed transmission (stock 5 speed never offered in 5.7L cars because its not strong enough)
-tubular front k-member and a-arms
-mild 355, heads cam intake but again mild, going to be good for around 300 wheel horsepower, and a little more torque
-might swap out gas tank for one from a 4th gen camaro

Those are the noteable modifications. I'm planning on taking the WCMA race school with this vehicle and do a couple of solo1 weekends as my schedule allows. Is there going to be any issue running this car?

I don't know what clubs you're directing your question at but can say that the Winnipeg Sports Car Club would welcome you to the Race/HPDE school and SoloSprint at GMP.

good to know :) thats a bit of a drive tho,

The link from racecity just lists a WCMA race school, i was asuuming that took place at the race city track.

What is the track like out in manitoba? hell if i was planning on driving out to mission manitoba might not be out of the question.

Check out the Calgary Sports Car Club and their forums. You should be able to get more info on their Race City events there.

The track at Gimli Motorsport Park is a fairly benign 1.8 mile 11 turn track that runs counter-clockwise. It's plenty challenging, lots of fun and while you're always exposing yourself to risk running on a racetrack, most of the corners have generous run-off areas so errors don't automatically turn into damage.
