does my car need a roll cage if i just wanna show up do laps and go home ?

I dont really drive anything special and also it is my daily driver so i dont think i shud have a roll cage in it. although i'm looking at some modifications to make the car stiffer. like i guess my question again is...if i wanna just show up at the track what do i need and what i have to do to my car to make it eligible?
